Due to the popularity of ghost hunting shows on television,
K2 meters have become a common sight on paranormal screening. A K2 meter
measures the electromagnetic fields (short for EMF); The Earth has its own emf
as everything does, which uses electricity, and it also includes the human
body. This is the remnant of some ghost hunters who believe in gender after
death.
Electromagnetic field can be generated by electromagnetic
radiation flow density (DC areas) or changes in time (AC region) in an
electromagnetic field. An EMF meter measures AC electromagnetic fields
(electrician uses them to track wiring in the walls), whereas a more expensive
gas meter or magnetometer measures the DC field; These are found naturally in
the geo-magnetic field of the Earth. Most ghost hunters use single axis EMF
meters; Three-axis meters are more expensive The majority of the emf meter is
calibrated between 50 and 60 Hz alternation areas, the frequency of the US and
European power generation. K2 meters use a series of LEDs to measure the power
of an energy field.
Ghost hunters use K2 meters to measure energy, some of them believe that ghosts emit.
